12 month fixed term contract, with possibility of extension
$49,081 to $51,571 pro-rata, per annum
(SaCS/MEA Grade 5)

Position Responsibilities: To provide crisis support, counselling, outreach, information, advocacy, group work, community education and training to people from diverse cultures and backgrounds, including those from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, who have experienced sexual violence. Participation in 24hr crisis telephone roster and 24 hour callout roster required.
Position Requirements: Tertiary qualifications/or working towards qualifications in Welfare, Counselling or equivalent. High level cultural competence. Proven experience in providing counselling and support services to people who have been sexually assaulted. Proven understanding of the causes, impacts and effects of sexual violence and trauma, essential. Current drivers licence, vehicle, and computer literacy essential.
